Please read Important Update as from 31 December, 2011 at the bottom of this page.
I have been asked by models if they can see the photos of them which have been published on photo library sites. The answer to that query is “yes you can”. Sometimes however it can be quite some time after a photo has been taken before it may appear on a photo library site, if at all!
Allow me to explain.
Photo library sites have now been around for several years, and there are many of them. Some specialise in particular types of photos and some are privately owned by photographers who just publish their own photos on them. Almost all are very selective regarding the photos that they will accept. They must be high quality, high definition photos that the libraries think will be in demand.
Often there may be several weeks between when photos have been submitted to library sites and the time when the accepted photos are published.
There are several different library sites to which I submit photos. However, there is one which is my favourite and which I probably spend more time on than all the others combined. Photos submitted to this site are published far quicker than any other, and to date this site has not rejected any of the photos which I have submitted to them.
So, if I have taken photos of you and submitted any of them to any photo library sites, then they will most probably appear on this one. This site has also allowed individual albums, so searching for images is much easier. I have set up an individual album for each model whose photos I have submitted to this site. The site is called Most Photos and by clicking on the link, you will go straight to my profile page where you can click on and view the various albums.
All the photo library sites with whom I deal are international. Most Photos is a Swedish site and all prices listed are in Euros. The current exchange rate between the Aussie dollar and the Euro is quite favourable.
Each of the photo library sites have the full size image for each photo that they have published of mine. The photos of models that I have taken since the beginning of 2011 have been with a professional camera with top quality Nikon lenses at the highest possible definition. This means that they can be enlarged up to poster size prints and still have excellent definition.
I have kept original file copies of all photos taken since the beginning of 2011, and if you need or want silver halide prints or art canvas prints of any photo taken then these can be provided locally at competitive prices. However, there is a minimum order size for this service, so it is suggested that if you want a few prints only then these be purchased from a photo library.
Sometimes I perform editorial work on images several months even years after an original photo has been taken. This editorial work or digital enhancing may include anything from making minor changes to colours, brightness or contrast to isolating the main subject from the background, and making changes such as removing blemishes and making attractive models even more attractive.
It is suggested that if you have had your photos taken by me for inclusion in photo libraries that you call back to the Most Photos site every few months to see if any new images of you have been included. If they have been added, they will go into your album on the site. Each album by the way has its own link URL that you are able to send to your family, friends and colleagues.
Another gallery site I have is Photo Box. Selected photos of all models I have worked with in recent months (2011) appear in albums on this site. This site has an extensive arrange of photo products which are available for purchase. The site is a UK site and the prices are in Pounds Sterling, but with the current favourable exchange rate of the Australian dollar, the prices are relatively inexpensive even with freight costs.
Important update - New Year’s Eve - 31 December, 2011
This web site has grown significantly over the last two days, and it will continue to do so over the next week. You may have noticed that it has changed from a web site with around eight pages to a web site with about one hundred pages, and there are still more to come.
The emphasis in photography for me this year has been in supplying photos to micro stock photo library sites. I started in April with a couple of sites and have gradually increased the number of sites and the number of photos that I supply to them as the year progressed.
Some sites readily accept most photos submitted to them and others are far more choosy which can result in numerous rejections. Some sites have an approval process that involves a wait of just a few days, others will take many weeks.
I decided that all of my submitted photos that have been published by any of the library sites I would place in a gallery on this site. I generally receive an email from a photo library site when photos have been approved (or rejected) and I plan to update the gallery on this site every month or so with links to the sites which have accepted and published my photos.
If you have (or will have) an album on this site, you are welcome to use the URL to promote your photos to others.
Other additions to this site as from today are a Guest Book and a Testimonial page. Everyone is welcome to enter a message in the Guest Book and if people I have worked with leave a testimonial, it would be very much appreciated.
